About Colaiste Chorcaí

Beatha teanga í a labhairt - The life of a language is in the speaking.

Located in Edmund Rice College, Carrigaline, Coláiste Chorcaí is a Cork-based, Irish Language Summer College. Our aim is to provide students with all the positive experiences of a Gaeltacht course, through daily fun and purposeful lessons, sports, music, dance, and activities, at a more affordable cost to parents, while staying in the comfort of their own home.

We are confident that participating students, of all ability levels, will improve their confidence and fluency in all aspects of Gaeilge. Our staff go to great lengths to ensure all students have an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience while also promoting all that is great about our beautiful language and culture.

All of our teachers experienced and passionate about Gaeilge. They are registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland, and all staff are fully Garda-vetted.

Our courses cater for students of all ability levels who wish to build upon and improve the work they have done during the school year:

• Primary School students (5th and 6th class) as they prepare for the step up to Secondary School Gaeilge
• Secondary School students (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) who wish to improve their ability and confidence in spoken and written Gaeilge in their preparations for Junior Cycle exams and beyond
